I've seen a lot of posts about this but this seems to put it into context. IBM AIX and SUN solaris does sound like a good product set. Just wondering what would of happened if Scott McNealy hadn't 'closed source' SunOS all those years ago. If he had listened to those talented engineers who believed in the co and begged him not to close source. Would things have been different? Good post.
