HostICan: The hosting company currently used by this site is HostICan

WordPress: Powered by WordPress is how WordPress likes to be acknowledged. WordPress is a web engine for Blog sites, which is powerful and easy to use (my experience). The WordPress team also runs its own site for bloggers, for those not crazy enough to do this themselves.

V4Business: The look and feel of this site is derived from the WordPress Theme (i.e. template) named Talian. It was designed by VA4Business, Virtual Assistance for Business who’s blog can be found at Steve Arun’s Virtual Marketing Blog. I am in the gradual process of making changes to it, so it may not end up looking exactly like Talian. However, that is its origin.

The technology in use in creating and maintaining this site includes:

  1. The client: Mac Pro
  2. The database: MySQL
  3. The wonderful editor: BBEdit (I strongly recommend)
  4. The development language: PHP
  5. The web server: Apache. It came with the Mac but I would have chosen it anyway.

There are probably more products/people/things to acknowledge and I’ll add them over time.
